  • Firstly, There has been increasing in the number of criminal politicians. In last 4 general elections many of the political candidates has criminal record. In conclusion, 43% of the Member of Parliament has criminal cases pending against them in 2019.
  • Secondly, Hon’ble Supreme Court held the political parties of central and state level to upload the correct details of their pending cases against them in their respective websites with the reason why such candidates has been selected instead of other candidates with no criminal cases.
  • Moreover, The information must be published in local newspapers, one national newspaper. Meanwhile, one official media platform of the political party within 48 hours of selection of candidates not less than 2 weeks.
  • By all means, All the concerned political parties must also submit the report of compliance with the direction passed by Supreme Court within 72 hours of the selection of candidates. Of course, if any political parties failed to submit such report to election commission, they shall bring that incident to Supreme Court as being contempt of the court’s order.
